    • Medical Expense Tax Credit: Ask us on how you can get a tax credit against your income tax.

2. How can I get hand controls or other driving help?

Since there is a change in how the vehicle is controlled, the Ministry requires that you re-sit your driver’s license test. For your and other persons safety, it is required that you attend a driving assessment centre for evaluation and training. Unless you are already approved for driving with hand controls, we require a prescription from a driving assessment centre to permit us to install the controls in your vehicle.

3. I do not need my wheelchair accessible van anymore, how can I get rid of it?

We assist many of our clients with the resale of their vehicles. Your wheelchair accessible vehicle can be traded in against the purchase of an UNCONVERTED vehicle to take advantage of the tax break. We can also get the vehicle safety tested and conduct our own inspection and effect repairs as required to the conversion portion for you to sell yourself or we can then list it on our Sales or Inventory section of our website with a consignment agreement. Often, we will also just buy the vehicle outright.

4. I have suffered a stroke and have difficulty walking, but feel I could still drive with the use of hand controls. Do you supply them?

Yes we do. It is required , however, that you attend a driving assessment centre for evaluation and training. Unless you are already approved for driving with hand controls, we require a prescription from a driving assessment centre to permit us to install the controls in your vehicle.

5. I am in the market to buy a wheelchair accessible van to transport my elderly uncle in his wheelchair to and from his doctor. When I no longer require the vehicle, can you direct me in how to sell it?

Absolutely. We assist many of our clients with the resale of their vehicles. We can get the vehicle safety and emission tested and conduct our own inspection and effect repairs as required to the conversion portion. We can then list it on our Sales” section of our website.

6. My son uses a wheelchair. Until now I have lifted him into the car, but he is now 10 years old and too heavy for me to continue lifting. I have seen wheelchair accessible vans and know that it is our solution, but I am on a fixed income. Any suggestion?

Yes indeed. We work daily with funding agencies that assist families in need. We can steer you in the proper direction to the right programmes and help you contact the right people who will determine your eligibility. We can also point out the various tax advantages to you.

7. I have a new mini-van that I am considering converting into a wheelchair accessible vehicle. What happens to the warranty on my vehicle if you lower the floor?
